App for saving groups in developing countries

Jamii.one is a digital eco-system for savings groups in developing countries, which allows them to record their savings and loan data quickly, easily, and securely in their cloud-based database. Currently, they are collaborating with 51 NGOs in Ethiopia, and together, they are serving millions of people. These NGO partners have chosen some of their savings groups that have to use the Jamii.one’s technology. During meetings between the saving groups and NGOs, activities are registered on the Jamii.one’s app, Jamiipay Group App. Thereafter, data is saved on a cloud-based database for processing, and with machine learning usage, the app creates a digital identity and credibility for the groups. Information is then used to connect them o services from financial institutions and NGOs.

Credit by Jamii.one

This project will, therefore, provide a service that allows savings groups to access credit from product providers (e.g., solar cell providers, irrigation, water metering, drying, cleaning, cooling, clean drinking water, and other systems as well as electric cookers, electric lamps, etc.) through the Jamii.one platform in a new service: “Credit by Jamii.one”. Credit by Jamii.one will remove banks as intermediaries and give product suppliers direct access to sell their products on credit to the right customer groups.
