At the end of February, 20 Danish companies and organizations participated in the Expo Harvest Money Agro & Agri Business in Kampala.

The expo opened on February 27, and the Danish ambassador officially hosted visiting dignitaries on Saturday the 28th. Among others, the ambassadors from Holland, India, Libya, and Eritrea visited the Danish pavilion, which was placed next to and arranged in cooperation with aBi Development Ltd. Giant display boards throughout the pavilion showed examples of Ugandan-Danish partnerships.

Among the Ugandan-Danish cooperations shown were Iced Espresso, Aller Aqua, LIMTAI, BM Silo, Caritas, PAD&T Group, Landbrug & Fødevarer (Danish Agriculture and Food Council), Engsko, Equator Chokolate, DANBRED, ECOCA, Insectum, and GEA.

“We had a very, very good reception with all the ambassadors. The expo was a great success,” says A2i Representative in East Africa, John Magnay.

For the thousands of visitors this annual gathering is more than a show; it is a place to learn, teach, do business, and discover new possibilities in modern farming.

Running from Friday to Sunday, this year’s edition brings together over 200 companies, organizations, institutions, and individual farmers showcasing their products, services, and innovations under the theme: Farming as a Business: Growth, Sustainability, and Co-operation.
