Our new project in collaboration of aBi Development and representatives from the Royal Danish Embassy has come out of the starting holes well. Already now, the office in Kampala is humming with activity, William J. Nyakatura, Program Manager, Green Technology Transfer Fund (GTTF) aBi Development, GRASP Project, reports.
Here are the newest progress update:
- Green Investment Landscape Assessment: With the collaboration of aBi Development and representatives from the Royal Danish Embassy, a2i has initiated a sector-wide landscape assessment to identify innovative, high-value agricultural investment opportunities in Uganda tailored to attract strategic Danish and EU partnerships.
- Strategic Leadership Appointment: Onboarded Mr. John Magnay as Senior Strategic Advisor (Agri-Tech & Bilateral Trade) to guide the implementation of the Green Technology Transfer Fund (GTTF) and foster bilateral knowledge transfer. John shall serve as a bridge between Danish/EU technology providers and Ugandan agribusinesses, fostering sustainable bilateral trade and knowledge transfer.
- Danish-Uganda Trade Mission (April): Successfully coordinated a high-profile trade mission facilitating strategic engagements between key Ugandan government ministries, private sector leaders, and a major European delegation (including the Danish Agriculture & Food Council, GSOL Energy, Danbred, FOSS. Novonesis, ORANA, Caritas Uganda, ZBC, LINCO, BAANDER, CIMBRA)
