From August 25th – September 3rd, the program manager for the DMDP Grain Hub project Henrik Anker-Ladefoged and the A2i CFO Ole Stein visited Uganda in connection with a monitoring visit by the DMDP secretariat. Apart from a site visit to the first installed drying unit at ZAABTA cooperative, the DMDP secretariat further held meetings with the local partners AG-Ploutos Company Ltd. and Opportunity International, as well as Opportunity Bank and other cooperatives who have benefitted from the project. For assessing the first demo unit at ZAABTA the A2I staff was accompanied by Erik Kristensen from Aarhus University, who will now discuss some technical issues with the supplier B.M. Silo. During their stay, the team also had a very positive meeting with WFP Uganda.
