The Danish Embassy in Uganda has launched the Green Technology Transfer Fund (GTTF) and the Landscape Assessment of Priority Agricultural and Agro-Industrial Value Chains in Uganda report last week, Wednesday, 21 October 2026, at the Uganda-EU Business Forum at Serena Hotel, Kampala. The launch was officiated by General (Rtd) Hon. Wilson Mbasu Mbadi, State Minister for Trade, and H.E. Signe Winding Albjerg, the Danish Ambassador to Uganda, in the presence of representatives from the European Union Delegation to Uganda, aBi Development and Access2innovation.
The Landscape Assessment Report, which informs the GTTF, highlights strategic investment opportunities across 10 priority value chains to strengthen Uganda’s agricultural competitiveness and drive sustainable agro-industrialization through the adoption of European and Danish green technologies. The value chains include coffee, grains and animal feeds, dairy, piggery, fish and aquaculture, horticulture, poultry, cassava, and agro-waste. The GTTF will support investments across the 10 priority value chains by providing Ugandan agribusinesses with 30% subsidies to access green technologies. This will strengthen agro-productivity and climate resilience while enhancing competitiveness and driving inclusive agro-industrialization in line with Uganda’s Tenfold Growth Strategy.
