Dear Members and Partners of Access2innovation, As 2025 comes to an end, we would like to thank you for your continued trust and support. It has been of utmost importance in achieving our results. Also, we are happy to announce that new and exciting opportunities are waiting for our members: A unique chance for you to introduce technologies and solutions in Uganda The board of aBi Development Ltd. has now approved the establishment of a Green Technology Transfer Fund and has offered Access2innovation a contract to build up a platform for screening and identifying appropriate Danish and European technologies to accelerate climate-smart and sustainable agribusiness growth in Uganda. This will obviously give Danish companies a unique chance to introduce relevant technologies and solutions, and with many years of experience from working in Africa, Access2innovation will be able to support members looking for new business opportunities in Uganda. More information about the project will be provided in our January newsletter. Pre-qualified for a Strategic Partnership Agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Also, we have been pre-qualified for a Strategic Partnership Agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of a consortium with Landbrug & Fødevarer and Caritas Denmark as the lead partner. Funding under these agreements targets civil societies and normally excludes business activities. But the MFA is now open to strengthening civil societies through the capacity building of SMEs and job creation. This will lead to other opportunities for our members looking for sustainable partnerships in Africa. 2025 moved us closer to partnerships for shared growth in Africa Apart from creating these opportunities for our members, at the beginning of the year, we successfully completed three DGBP maturation projects. We also facilitated a DIBE project with Gl. Buurholt, whose outcome has been the establishment of a company for seed cleaning and milling in Kenya. In June, many of you joined our General Assembly at EIFO in Nordhavn, and your input helped us to shape our pipeline of activities in the future. Together with Afrika Consultancy, we further co-hosted the event Unlocking Investment Potential in Southern & Eastern Africa with speakers from both the Nordic countries and Africa. Finally, together with our partner Landbrug & Fødevarer, we carried out three successful delegation trips to Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and Kenya. These trips have led to several potential leads and already some orders for the Danish companies. In 2026, we will arrange another three delegation trips to East Africa together with Landbrug & Fødevarer, starting with Uganda in April and later to Tanzania and Kenya. Other activities in 2026 will be the winding up of three projects: the ‘Integrated Grain Handling Project for rural communities in Uganda’ (DMDP program), the ‘Aquaculture and Advocacy for Green Fish Farming in Central Uganda’ (CISU program), and the ‘Grekkon Ltd. and Access2innovation P4G partnership.’ And then we will, of course, be applying for more funding, which can benefit our members.
