Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) and a number of related Nordic stakeholders are setting up an innovation camp aimed at companies who are interested in doing business on emerging markets.
One of the focal points is food security in East Africa where there is a growing demand for Danish and Nordic products and expertise.
The innovation camp will be looking at ways to adapt a business model to an emerging market setting, overcoming typical barriers, business ideas and synergies, local preferences, network building and partnerships.
The core of the innovation camp will be a trip to Kenya from June 10th – 13th 2014 with a group of Nordic companies that represent different part of the value chain; agribusiness, processing and retail.
There will be an initial meeting for participants on May 28th 2014.
The camp is aimed at companies who are interested in testing market potentials or expanding their current activities by focusing on new segments.
Participating companies are expected to covwer their own travel expenses, but smaller companies can apply for funding.
