Two trips to Uganda announced

Once again, access2innovation presents you with the opportunity to test your business model on emerging growth markets.
From May 1st – 10th, we will be hosting two trips to Uganda – focusing on agribusiness and renewable energy.
The programmes will be carefully planned according to the participating private enterprises’ wishes; based on the following tentative schedules:
May 1st – 6th:
Go ‘n’ See-trip to Uganda in collaboration with the winner of the access2innovation CSR partnership award; Farm Mountain Coffee.
The group will visit farmers and local partners at Mount Elgon, working to build a broader portfolio of agricultural products.
Visiting the farmers will provide insight into the local challenges and opportunities in the agribusiness value chain with particular focus on access to energy, water pumping, cooling, processing, market information, training and certification.
Based on these experiences, meetings will be held in Kampala with a number of buyers and potential partners in agribusiness.
May 6th – 10th:
Renewable energy opportunities in Kasese together with WWF.
In 2012, WWF launched the Kasese Green Energy Champion District with the ambition of making the entire district CO2 neutral by 2030.
In collaboration with WWF there will be a focus on Waste Management and development of decentralized renewable energy solutions.
Based on these experiences subsequent meetings will be held in Kampala with relevant local businesses and government officials.
The expected total cost of the trip is DKK 16,000,-
By entering into a partnership with access2innovation it is possible to get up to DKK 10,000,- in support in order to participate - provided you contribute with working hours valued at DKK 30,000 documented by time sheets and pay slips.
