Former chairman of the access2innovation steering committee, Christian Friis Bach, has been appointed minister for development cooperation in the new Danish government.
Christian Friis Bach is associated professor of international economics at the University of Copenhagen and former special advisor to EU climate commissioner Connie Hedegaard.
He has started the companies ViewWorld and WorldBarrow. Both companies have their origin in the access2innovation network.
The new cabinet ministers were formally approved by Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and presented to the public earlier today at a reception at the Queen's palace in Copenhagen.
Christian Friis Bach represents the party Radikale Venstre. He was the only minister to arrive at the palace by electric car.
