Join us on Friday, April 26th from 8.30 AM to 10.00 AM, and be inspired by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) - a member of the World Bank Group - as they provide clarity on how to establish a common global discipline on investing for impact.
The impact investment market is growing rapidly. Since 2013 the market has grown by nearly 500%, reaching $228 billion USD in 2018, as it continues to attract stakeholders from the public-, civil- and financial sector and foundation communities looking for sustainable ways to generate and support beneficial development in low-income countries.
In Denmark, however, investors, foundations, NGOs and the private sector is still struggling to harness the opportunities related to impact investments.
At the a2iTalk, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) – a member of the World Bank Group – will share key findings from the April released report: Creating Impact, the promise of Impact Investing and will inform about their efforts to promote impact investing for development through the launch of: Investing for Impact: Operating Principles for Impact Management, IFC has brought together a global group of leading asset man-agers, asset owners, development financial institutions and specialist funds to define end-to-end principles for investing in impact.
As a member of the core taskforce that drafted the impact investing report and developed the operating principles, Christian Rosenholm, Senior Professional for Sector Economics and Development Impact, will draw an outline of how participants can use these principles to catalyze impact investment.
The a2iTalk is organized by access2innovation in collaboration with Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) and the “Fra Filantropi til Forretning” initiative.
