access2innovation signs MOU with Danish Red Cross and Kenya Red Cross to further expand innovative partnership projects.

A newly signed agreement between the three partners establishes the framework for supporting innovative partnerships through the access2innovation association.

Danish Red Cross has been an active member of the acces2innovation association for nearly ten years. The organisation has contributed knowledge, network and insights and been a valuable partner in several projects, including the One Stop Shop solution.

Kenya Red Cross has already been involved in a number of access2innovation activities.
With the new memorandum of understanding, the organisations commit themselves to further promote partnerships between private sector partners, local authorities, universities and research institutions.

“The Red Cross organisations are extremely knowledgeable and valuable partners that we have been working with for many years,” says access2innovation CEO Jacob Ravn. “With this MOU we have established the frame and modalities for both on-going and future partnership projects. I think this will lead to a snowball-effect of innovative partnerships really taking off in Kenya.”

The current project roster between Danish Red Cross, Kenya Red Cross and access2innovation includes the UNUMED biometric health care registration in Kalobeyei refugee settlement [link], as well as several projects concerning farming and circular energy-solution, water desalination and coffee production in Kenya.

Dr. Abbas Gullet, secretary General of Kenya Red Cross will speak at the PEOPLE PROFIT PLANET conference in Aalborg on September 10th – 11th.
