DESCRIPTION:The Danish Agriculture & Food Council in partnership with Access2innovation and the Danish Embassy in Kenya are pleased to invite your company to participate in this 2025 agribusiness delegation to Kenya. \nWhy Kenya?\nKenya is one of Africa’s most fertile and open countries with ambitious growth targets and an agribusiness sector full of opportunities. This delegation trip will enable Danish companies to meet key partners and potential customers\, showcasing their products and services\, and gain first-hand knowledge about the Kenyan agribusiness sector and market. \nKenya presents key opportunities along the entire agribusiness value-chain:  \n\nFarm inputs such as fertilizer\, pesticides and animal feed as well as farming equipment and technology incl. (cold-) storage and other farm produce preservation solutions.\nAgri-tech and innovative solutions that supports precision farming\, digital platforms for value chain efficiency and integration\, and other smart farming solutions. \nValue addition and food processing of fruit and vegetable products\, dairy products as well various types of meat products for both domestic and international markets. \n\nWhat is unique about this mission?\nThe delegates will have an opportunity to meet and explore synergies with government representatives and industry organizations as well as one-on-one meeting with relevant commercial partners in Kenya. Moreover\, the delegates will have an opportunity to meet and explore synergies with implementing partners of the Danish development programmes in Kenya. \nWho should join?\nThe delegation is open to participation from companies working within the agribusiness industry\, e.g.: \n\nFood technology incl. food-preservation and -processing solutions.\nFarm inputs and equipment incl. storage and irrigation solutions.\nAgriculture services and digital solutions.\nBiomass energy and solar-powered solutions.\nQuality control and food safety.\n\nEarly bird advantages\nA visit will yield the best results to your business if it is tailor-made to your company’s profile. Danida Innovation and Business Explorer (DIBE) or Danida Green Business Partnerships (DGBP).  \nMeet the right stakeholders including decision makers\, relevant industry association as well as importers\, factories and manufacturers of the agro-industry.\nParticipate in tailor-made site visits and visits to partners.\nPromote your company in Kenya and expand your network\nLearn about best practices in Kenya and the region.\n\nProgramme\nThe below programme is preliminary and will be finalised one month before the delegation. \nMonday 10 November (Arrival) \n\nArrival\, Jomo Kenyatta airport in Nairobi.\nHotel check-in and introduction to participants and the delegation program in the evening.\n\nTuesday 11 November \n\nIntroduction.\nPresentations by key actors from government and industry associations on Kenyan agribusiness.\nExploring synergies with Danida development programme implementing partners in agriculture and private sector development.\nMeetings with key industry players incl. B2B collaborations.\nReception\n\nWednesday 12 November \n\nMeetings with relevant agribusiness associations and government representatives (morning).\nTargeted site visits tailored to the participants. (afternoon)\n\nThursday 13 November  \n\nTargeted site visits tailored to the participants (until late afternoon).\nWrap-up with lessons learned and follow-up plans.  \nPossible return to Denmark with late evening flight)\n\n Friday 14 November \n\nTravel back to Denmark.\n\nPrice\nThe total price for participation in the business delegation to Kenya is DKK 8\,700 excl. flight\, hotel and VAT per company for 1 representative and 3 guests at the reception. \nExtra representative DKK 2\,300 per person. \nNOTE: The Danish company is free to have its local representatives represent your company in full during the event. On the registration form you can\, if relevant\, therefore add the contact information of the local participating person/company. However\, only Danish companies in Denmark with a Danish CVR number can register for participation\, and the invoicing will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address. \nWe reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price\, if any of the above criteria change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted\, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at your own expense including visa\, flights\, dining & drink and hotel. \nNOTE: The price is based on 7 participating companies\, who are all eligible for subsidy\, and 75 percent subsidy (already granted) from the Trade Council of Denmark.\nIf your company is not eligible for subsidy due to de-minimis issues (having received more than 300\,000 Euro in de-minimis subsidy within the past 3 years\, including the present)\, you are obliged to pay the full price without the subsidy. The same conditions apply\, if you do not wish to receive subsidy. \nHotel and travel information\nFlights and hotel are not included in the price.
