DESCRIPTION:The Danish Agriculture & Food Council in partnership with Access2innovation\, Afrika Consultancy and the Danish Representation in Zimbabwe are pleased to invite your company to participate in this 2025 delegation to Zimbabwe in conjunction with the African-Nordic Foreign Ministers Meeting. \nWhy Zimbabwe?\nAfter many years of political and economic instability\, Zimbabwe’s agro-industrial and hospitality sector has been subject to significant progress and\, therefore\, once again represents interesting opportunities for Danish businesses. Since 2009 the country has experienced significant GDP growth\, greater consideration to the needs of the business community and greater efforts to attract foreign investments. Most recently\, Zimbabwe has worked to rejoin the Commonwealth\, which helps to underpin political and economic stability. \nThere is a strong political desire for investment and efficiency improvements in horticulture\, aquaculture\, cattle breeding\, crop cultivation (especially sugar sorghum\, millet and tobacco) and a focus on developing the food processing industry. This development is also seen in other sectors such as tourism and hospitality\, digital transformation\, health and sanitations etc. \nThe agricultural sector is increasingly integrated with regional markets in Kenya\, Botswana and Mozambique\, but also international markets in Europe and North America. \nWhat is unique about this mission?\nThe delegates will have an opportunity to meet and explore synergies with government representatives and industry organizations as well as one-on-one meeting with relevant commercial partners in Zimbabwe. \nMoreover\, the delegation trip will be arranged to coincide with the African-Nordic Foreign Ministers Meeting at the Victoria Falls and participants\, who are interested\, can take part in the business track\, which runs parallel to the ministerial meeting. \nWho should join?\nThe delegation is open to participation from companies working within the tech\, hospitality and agribusiness industry\, e.g.: \n\nFood production and food processing technology.\nAgricultural materials\, quality control and food safety.\nAgro-services\, machinery\, equipment.\nBiomass energy & solar.\nTech-solutions in support of food production.\nThe tourism and hospitality sector.\n\nEarly bird advantages\nA visit will yield the best results to your business if it is tailor-made to your company’s profile. Extra representative is 2\,000 DKK per person. \nNOTE: The Danish company is free to have its local representatives represent your company in full during the event. On the registration form you can\, if relevant\, therefore add the contact information of the local participating person/company. However\, only Danish companies in Denmark with a Danish CVR number can register for participation\, and the invoice will always be issued in DKK to the Danish company address. \nWe reserve the right to offer you participation at a different price should any of the above criteria change. Should this result in a higher price than quoted\, you have the right to cancel your participation. Other expenses not mentioned above are at own expense including visa\, flights\, dine & drink\, and hotel. \nNOTE: The price is based on 7 participating companies\, who are all eligible for subsidy\, and 75 percent subsidy (already granted) from the Trade Council of Denmark. \nIf your company is not eligible for subsidy due to de-minimis issues (having received more than 300\,000 Euro in de-minimis subsidy within the past 3 years\, including the present)\, you are obliged to pay the full price without the subsidy. The same conditions apply\, if you do not wish to receive subsidy. \nHotel and travel information\nFlights and hotel are not included in the price.
