SUMMARY:BIO4Africa Final Conference
DESCRIPTION:BIO4Africa is teaming up with sister project BIOSTAR for the final conference event\, where project partners will present findings from the bio-based pilot technology trials\, research & innovation studies and business acceleration programme. \nThe BIOSTAR ‘Bioenergy for local production’ workshop provides an ideal backdrop for sharing broad insights into the transformation of agricultural residues into biochar. During the workshop’s first two days\, BIO4Africa partners will present the results of trials with biochar and hydrochar and the potential to solve multiple sustainability challenges in sub-Saharan Africa. \nOn 30 January\, the entire day will be dedicated to the official BIO4Africa final conference. \nRepresentatives from partners in Africa and the EU will present: \n\nThe needs and context of smallholder farmers in Côte d’Ivoire\, Ghana\, Senegal and Uganda\nBiomass pelletisation for energy and biorefinery use\nThe green biorefinery and the extraction of proteins from green leaves\nBiocomposites as new building and packaging materials\nLife cycle assessment of the BIO4Africa pilot technologies\nResults and testimonials from the BIO4Africa business acceleration programme\nPolicy recommendations for enabling a rural African bioeconomy\nPerspectives on smallholder farmer engagement\n\nThe event will be held in English and French. \nRead more \nSee the final programme: \n\nEnglish\nFrench\n\nSave your seat here.
