The PEOPLE PROFIT PLANET conference turned out a great success thanks to engaged participants, visionary speakers and dedicated exhibitioners. Debates and discussions point towards a new focus on reaching the SDGs.
With more than 250 participants from various sectors from all over the World, the PEOPLE PROFIT PLANET conference was an impressive mix of brain-power, entrepreneurship, impact financing and joint ambitions for SDG Business..
As the days progressed, the sessions and debates pin-pointed the most pressing challenges – based on concrete experience – that need to be addressed in order to reach the SDGs – by working together in innovative, cross-sector partnerships.
“It is a tremendous joy to be able to have some of the World’s leading experts in their various fields come here and help highlight not only the challenges and potentials related to fulfilling the SDGs. Now all we have to do is connect the dots which, in a way, is what we have always done in access2innovation,” says CEO Jacob Ravn.
“As the dedicated participants show we got the commitment for turning the SDG into action. But, to do so we need to establish the financial ecosystem that can help them succeed for turning bold ideas into scalable action. We are already working hard on different solutions with various new partners, but we need the political system to be aware of this and to act as well. Hopefully, this conference has helped visualise this particular challenge to the participating politicians and civil servants.”
In the weeks and months to come, the access2innovation secretariat will be following up on inputs from the conference in order to develop the road map that access2innovation will be navigating after in the coming years.
During coffee breaks in the exhibition hall, new partnerships and connections were formed between investors, inventors, researchers and organisations – underlining the basic fact that access2innovation members generally have a hard time not initiating partnerships and developing new ideas.
Following the conference, the access2innovation exhibition will be on display at various locations, including AAU Create in Aalborg, The Danish Society of Engineers and at Confederation of Danish Industry in Copenhagen during the P4G meeting in October.
