The Danish relief organisation DanChurchAid (Folkekirkens Nødhjælp) joins the access2innovation association as a strategic member.
“As a member of access2innovation we get access to a broader network of potential partners across sectors that are interested in developing innovative and sustainable solutions in developing countries,” says Jonas Nøddekær, development director at DanChurchAid.
“Coupled with the professional guidance provided by access2innovation we will be able to shorten our learning curve and bring sustainable solutions to our beneficiaries faster,” he says.
DanChurchAid has previously been involved in an access2innovation partnership when the organisation’s mine clearing experts were involved in the development of the Sky-Watch drone, that was originally developed exclusively with the purpose of aiding mine clearers in developing world countries.
“We are very happy that DanChurchAid has decided to join the association,” says access2innovation CEO Jacob Ravn. “DanChurchAid is a very important partner with a strong profile in our CSO/NGO portfolio.”
DanChurchAid is a major Danish NGO. It is based in the Danish church, but is dedicated to helping people in need all over the world – regardless of their faith, race or political ideology.
The organisation has a network of almost 30.000 individual volunteers and 3.000 private companies and is ranked among the top five most well-known and credible humanitarian organisations in Denmark.
