Uncovering energy potentials in Kasese

on .

The access2innovation secretariat has returned from the Kasese district in south western Uganda – a district that has been selected by WWF as a champion district with the aim of making it CO2-neutral by 2030.

The district covers the Rwenzori Mountains and a large number of wetlands and has been affected heavily by deforestation and pollution.

Along with representatives for the Confederation of Danish Industry, Frederikshavn Energy City and WWF, access2innovation has been conducting workshops with local authorities, farmer groups and NGOs in order to uncover business opportunities and potential solutions within the field of sustainable energy.

Further information about the potentials as well as video cases describing needs and demands will be available on this website over the next months.
