In 2011, access2innovation is starting up projects that focus on food and food security.

Food related subjects have been at the attention of the global debate for decades, and access2innovation is very interested in cultivating food related business enterprises in developing markets. 

Food is vital in regards to sustenance and survival, but in developing markets, it must also be seen as a way to become self-reliant and as a business possibility.

With help from modern technology and competency training, local farmers and farms may become viable businesses themselves. The output could then potentially create local businesses and maybe even exports.

The subject of food in developing markets is all about providing the technology and know-how to allow local farmers to become sustainable and self-dependant. 

Many companies in Northern Europe already utilize the nescessary technology and know-how. By bringing it to developing markets, these markets will gain an opportunity to become viable business markets - and at the same time providing a new marketplace for industrialized businesses.
