The Green Generator

When searching for land mines anywhere in the world, access to energy is vital in order to run metal detectors and camp equipment.

DanChurch Aid is one of several NGOs working with mine clearing in several places across the globe. The Green Generator project was established specifically for DanChurch Aid's mine clearing projects in Angola. The challenge here is primarily that the diesel generators tend to run out of diesel, and accessing fuel can be a significant challenge.
No energy means that no work can be done.

The prototype developed for this project is called the Green Generator. It is a mobile renewable energy generator that allows users to plug in any kind of renewable energy source - solar panels, bio-gas, wind power etc. and tap the energy stored in the generator.
