Jacob Ravn, Head of secretariat

Jacob Ravn has been the project manager of Access2Innovation since 2007 and brings a wealth of experience to the team, having successfully launched numerous spin-off ventures through applied network-based innovation. Through 5 years previous work at the Danish Red Cross, Jacob possesses in-depth knowledge of the Danish and international NGO sector. Jacob holds a MA in International Politics from Ceris (Centre Européen de Recherches Internationales et Stratégiques) in Belgium as well as an MSc in Public Administration from Aalborg University in Denmark.

Ivan Butler, Program manager & PhD Fellow

Ivan Butler possesses in-depth knowledge, understanding and experience in entrepreneurial business development, having driven several successful business ventures in the past. In addition, he has well founded experience within the management consulting industry.

Ivan joins access2Innovation from an Assistant Professor teaching position at the University College of Northern Denmark, Technology and Business studies, with which he retains close links. Ivan holds an MSc in Business Organization and Strategy from Aalborg University in Denmark.

David Christensen, Program manager & PhD Fellow

David Christensen specializes in management engineering, with a particular focus on technology assessments in innovation processes involving socio-technical aspects. He has an excellent understanding of development cooperation, and is an active member and chair of the local branch of Engineers Without Borders Denmark. David joins access2Innovation from a Research Assistant position at Aalborg University.  He holds an MSc in Engineering (Environmental Management) from Aalborg University in Denmark.

Lasse Frimand Jensen, Project co-ordinator

Lasse specializes in innovative growth-oriented development projects in the developing world. Having spent years in Africa doing NGO work and as a part of the growth team at the Royal Danish Embassy in Uganda, Lasse has a vast experience of Africa in particular.

Additionally, he has in-depth knowledge of the Danish and International NGO sector through his responsibilities as a local coordinator for MS Action Aid and a great insight into the academic side of the development studies field, owing to his position at the study board for International studies at Aalborg University. Lasse holds a M.Sc. in Development and International Relations from Aalborg University in Denmark.

Signe Leth, consultant

Signe specializes in cross-cultural relations in development work.

She has worked in the NGO sector doing development work for several years. In Ratanakiri province, Cambodia Signe has worked on human rights, water and sanitation, health and literacy, and done research among the indigenous communities living there.

In the slums of Kibera, Nairobi she has worked towards improving the life of young slum dwellers through conflict resolution, microcredit businesses and educational projects.

Signe holds an MA degree in social anthropology from the University of Århus, Denmark.
